Facial nerve recovery, guided by clinical expertise.
Your face deserves focused, individualized care. Facial nerve recovery is the sole focus of this clinic, led by a Nurse Practitioner with specialized clinical expertise and personal understanding of the recovery journey.
We provide care for Bell's palsy, Ramsay Hunt syndrome, acoustic neuroma, synkinesis, and other forms of facial nerve injury — from the earliest stages of onset to chronic, longstanding conditions — in Vancouver, BC.
No referral required to get started — we'll tell you honestly if we're the right fit.
If any of this sounds familiar, we can likely help.
Facial nerve conditions don't follow one script. Whether you're a few days into a new diagnosis or years into managing lasting changes, care here is shaped around where you actually are.
Bell's Palsy
Sudden weakness or drooping on one side of the face. Early, targeted care in the first days and weeks meaningfully shapes recovery. Learn more →
Ramsay Hunt Syndrome
Facial paralysis with ear pain or rash, caused by viral reactivation. Needs prompt, coordinated management alongside your medical team. Learn more →
Acoustic Neuroma
Facial nerve changes following acoustic neuroma diagnosis or surgery. Coordinated recovery support alongside your surgical team.
Synkinesis
Unwanted movement or tightness that develops as nerves reconnect after facial palsy — often months or years after onset.
Facial Nerve Injury
From surgical, traumatic, or other causes — including eye care management for patients unable to fully blink. Support for both the physical recovery and the day-to-day impact on your life.
Why not just see your primary care provider (PCP)?
A PCP is a good first stop, and often where this starts. But facial nerve conditions are a narrow, specific area — and how quickly you get the right care can shape how well you recover.
Focused, current expertise
Facial nerve care is a small, fast-moving field. I follow the latest research, clinical trials, and practice differences between Canada and the US closely — because this is the one thing I focus on, not one of many conditions I see in a day.
No waitlist
Specialist referrals can mean weeks of waiting while symptoms progress. I don't have a waitlist — you can be seen quickly, when timing matters most.
I've lived this
I was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome myself. I understand the anxiety, the misdiagnosis risk, and how much getting treated right away can affect your recovery — because I've been on the other side of it.
Hi, I'm Pam.
Nurse Practitioner & Founder, Facial Recovery Clinic
I built this clinic because facial palsy care is often scattered — a referral here, a wait list there, and very little continuity in between. As a Nurse Practitioner, I'm able to provide direct clinical assessment, ongoing monitoring, and coordinated care under one roof, so you're not starting over with a new provider at every step.

My connection to this work is also personal. I was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome myself, and went through surgery and recovery firsthand — the uncertainty, the slow progress, the daily reality of a face that doesn't yet do what you ask of it. That experience shapes how I practice: I don't just recognize these conditions clinically, I understand what they take from you day to day.
My focus is facial nerve conditions specifically: Bell's palsy, Ramsay Hunt syndrome, acoustic neuroma, synkinesis, and facial nerve injury, whether newly diagnosed or longstanding. Care includes evidence-based medical management, myoActivation, and neuromuscular re-education, coordinated with surgical and other specialists where needed.
I see patients at Envision Physiotherapy in Vancouver.
